DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Site Readiness & Preparation:
-
Ensure the customer’s physical site (hospital or clinic) meets all the infrastructure requirements: civil works, electrical supply, HVAC, radiation shielding, safety, ventilation, clean room, etc.
-
Coordinate site inspections & feasibility surveys; perform onsite inspections to validate that construction / facilities are prepared according to Toshiba’s Site Preparation Guide.
Coordination with External Parties:
- Work with hospital staff, architects, engineers, contractors, rigging and construction companies, local suppliers to ensure that all pieces (building, utilities, room design) match specifications.
- Liaise with local regulatory authorities (for safety, radiation protection, health codes) as needed. (Often implicit in ensuring compliance with standards.).
Project Planning & Scheduling:
- Develop and maintain project schedules along with the Project Manager for the site readiness phase: Civil Works, Installation, logistics, commissioning.
- Coordinate timelines with internal departments: sales, logistics, installation, service, quality, etc., to align delivery & handover.
Customer/Stakeholder Interface:
- Be the main point of contact for the customer for all site-related matters: clarifying requirements, communicating delays/issues, managing expectations.
- Ensure a smooth handover from construction to installation teams; ensure the high level of customer satisfaction through the installation & commissioning phases.
Quality Assurance & Compliance:
- Ensure that installations comply with TESG’s quality standards, safety and regulatory requirements. Use site preparation guides/checklists.
- Inspect and verify that all components, delivered systems, and site conditions are proper before equipment delivery/installation.
Problem Anticipation, Risk & Issue Management:
- Identify risks (construction delays, infrastructure mismatches, utility issues, regulatory delays) early, propose mitigations.
- Solve unexpected challenges on site (e.g. deviations from specs, delays in construction) in coordination with all stakeholders.
Budgeting/Financial Oversight:
- Monitor costs related to site preparation (civil works, extra materials, subcontractors). Ensure that variations are documented and within agreed limits.
- Support financial forecasting related to project delivery and site readiness.
Handover and Commissioning Support:
-
Once the site is ready, support the installation teams (mechanical, electrical, physicists, etc.) through commissioning, performance checks, acceptance tests.
-
Ensure customer training or orientation for site maintenance or safety, where relevant.
Documentation & Reporting:
-
Maintain site specific drawings, reports, readiness checklists. Document status of installations, deviations, signoffs.
- Regular reporting of project progress, delays, cost overruns to Project Manager / internal senior management.
Other Activities:
-
Support project with logistics, warehouse activities, and rigging.
-
Obtaining documents and signatures when and where required.
- Travel for meetings and workshops when requested.
- Obtaining quotes for material and resources when required.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:
-
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
EXPERIENCE:
-
A minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience in Site Management, preferably in radiotherapy, medical field, and or civil engineering.
- Understanding CAD drawings in essential.
- MEP works.
