Social Content Producer

Salt & Straw is looking for a creative storyteller to bring our brand to life across social platforms.

As our Social Content Producer, you’ll develop original, platform-native content that captures the warmth, curiosity, and creativity at the heart of Salt & Straw. From flavor launches and shop openings to community moments and partnerships, you’ll help translate the stories behind our ice cream into engaging short-form video and social storytelling that resonates with audiences.

This role is ideal for someone who sees stories everywhere — in a guest moment, a new flavor, a team member interaction, or a cultural trend — and loves turning those moments into compelling social content.

Location: Portland Support Center (Hybrid – 4 days onsite)
Travel: Approximately 20% travel to shops, events, and brand activations
Salary: Salaried, exempt; target hiring range is $68,000 - $80,000 - full pay range is up to $92,000

What You’ll Do

• Develop and create original, platform-native social content across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and emerging platforms
• Translate product launches, campaigns, and partnerships into compelling short-form video and visual storytelling
• Capture real-time brand moments across shops, events, and community initiatives
• Publish and optimize social content across platforms, ensuring strong performance and brand voice alignment
• Draft captions and social copy that reflect Salt & Straw’s tone and storytelling style
• Monitor audience engagement and conversations to identify insights and opportunities for connection
• Collaborate with marketing, retail, product, and creative teams to amplify meaningful brand stories
• Stay current on social trends, cultural moments, and emerging formats to keep our content fresh and relevant

What We’re Looking For

• 2+ years creating social media content for a brand, agency, creator platform, or similar environment
• Strong short-form video storytelling and editing skills
• Portfolio demonstrating original social storytelling or digital creative work
• Deep familiarity with TikTok, Instagram, and platform-native content formats
• Strong creative instincts and an eye for visual storytelling
• Ability to translate brand messaging into culturally relevant social content
• Collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for working across creative and marketing teams

Bonus if you have experience with:

• Hospitality, food, retail, or lifestyle brands
• Event or live content capture
• Tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or Canva
