Social Media and Marketing Coordinator

Job Overview
Are you a creative powerhouse with a passion for pickleball and social media? SOCO Pickleball United is looking for a creative and motivated Social Media & Marketing Coordinator to help showcase the excitement, community, and competitive spirit of our pickleball events. This role focuses on capturing engaging content, creating posts, and helping grow our online presence across social media platforms.

The ideal candidate enjoys storytelling through photos and videos, understands current social media trends, and has an interest in sports—especially pickleball.

This is an independent contractor position in a hybrid role that allows for flexible hours (4-8 per week) but will require capturing photos and videos at our events in Colorado Springs, CO.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement innovative social media strategies to enhance brand visibility and engagement
• Keep up with current pickleball content trends
• Create captivating content, including graphics, videos, and written posts, tailored for each platform
• Develop and post content that highlights players, events, and community moments
• Collaborate with the team to promote upcoming events and programs
• Maintain a consistent posting schedule and help grow audience engagement

Preferred qualifications

• Strong understanding of social media platforms and their respective audiences
• Proficiency in Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and Illustrator, for graphic design needs
• Exceptional graphic design skills
• Familiarity with video editing software (including AI) to create dynamic visual content
• Excellent proofreading skills with an eye for detail in branding consistency
• Experience with sports-related content
• Familiarity with pickleball
