Sports Office 365 is seeking a part-time Social Media Manager to support the planning, organization, scheduling, and performance of social media content across multiple youth sports club clients.

This role is ideal for someone who is organized, creative, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple brands, calendars, deadlines, and client needs at the same time. The right person will not simply “make posts.” They will help bring structure, strategy, consistency, and accountability to each client’s social media presence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and schedule social media content across multiple youth sports club accounts, ensuring each client maintains a consistent, active, and engaging presence.
  • Own and maintain social media calendars for assigned clients, including weekly posting schedules, seasonal campaigns, registration pushes, tryouts, camps, tournaments, events, sponsor promotions, community content, and recurring club updates.
  • Coordinate with club leadership, internal account leads, and Sports Office 365 leadership to understand each client’s goals, programs, brand voice, audience, and seasonal priorities.
  • Develop proactive content ideas, recurring campaign concepts, and creative themes that help clients move beyond basic announcements and maintain a balanced mix of promotional, informational, community, educational, and engagement-focused content.
  • Organize and submit creative requests to the graphic/design team with clear direction, deadlines, copy needs, image requirements, and posting timelines.
  • Collaborate with the design team to ensure content is planned ahead, brand-aligned, and delivered with enough time for review, approval, scheduling, and revisions.
  • Assist with setting up, managing, monitoring, and reporting on paid social media campaigns, boosted posts, event promotions, and community group engagement efforts.
  • Monitor social media comments, messages, tags, mentions, and engagement opportunities, escalating client service issues or sensitive items to the appropriate internal team member.
  • Track performance across assigned accounts and provide regular reporting on key metrics such as engagement, reach, audience growth, top-performing content, campaign results, and recommended improvements.
  • Help establish and improve internal workflows for social media planning, approvals, asset organization, caption development, campaign tracking, and client communication.
  • Stay current on social media trends, youth sports marketing ideas, platform updates, short-form video opportunities, and best practices for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and other relevant platforms.
  • Support the development of standard operating procedures, content templates, campaign checklists, and repeatable systems that allow Sports Office 365 to serve clients more efficiently.

Additional Areas of Ownership

  • Build monthly or seasonal content plans for each assigned client.
  • Identify gaps in a client’s current social media presence and recommend improvements.
  • Maintain organized folders or systems for client assets, logos, brand colors, photos, graphics, captions, and campaign materials.
  • Help create or refine brand voice guidelines for each club.
  • Coordinate content around important youth sports cycles, including registration, tryouts, evaluations, tournaments, camps, clinics, sponsorships, volunteer needs, fundraising, and community events.
  • Recommend when a client may need additional creative assets, photography, video, email support, website updates, or paid advertising support.
  • Required Skills and Experience
  • Experience managing social media accounts for a business, organization, sports program, nonprofit, school, club, or client-facing brand.
  • Strong writing, editing, caption-writing, and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts, priorities, calendars, deadlines, and stakeholders at once.
  • Understanding of Facebook, Instagram, stories, reels, boosted posts, Meta Business Suite, and basic social media analytics.
  • Comfortable using scheduling, project management, content calendar, and collaboration tools.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to create structure where processes are still being developed.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with clients, internal team members, designers, and leadership.
  • Basic understanding of paid social media campaign setup, audience targeting, budgets, creative testing, and performance monitoring.
  • Ability to interpret social media metrics and make practical recommendations based on results.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to generate fresh content ideas, recurring campaign themes, and engagement opportunities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with youth sports clubs, schools, nonprofits, recreation programs, community organizations, or membership-based organizations.
  • Experience managing multiple client accounts in an agency, freelance, or service-provider setting.
  • Light Canva, photo editing, video editing, or short-form video experience.
  • Experience creating content calendars, campaign plans, monthly reports, and client-facing recommendations.
  • Familiarity with Meta Business Suite, Google Drive, HubSpot, Canva, Constant Contact, or similar tools.
  • Understanding of registration campaigns, tryouts, camps, clinics, sponsor promotions, and seasonal youth sports marketing cycles.

Role Expectations

This is a part-time role expected to average approximately 20–25 hours per week.

The role requires proactive planning, strong communication, and consistent follow-through.

The Social Media Manager should be able to work independently while also collaborating closely with leadership, account managers, and the design team.

Success in this role will be measured by stronger client organization, improved posting consistency, better campaign planning, clearer design workflows, improved client confidence, and measurable social media performance improvements.

This position reports to Sports Office 365 leadership and acts as a key bridge between client needs, marketing strategy, design execution, and day-to-day social media delivery.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
