Founded by Ellen and Linda, the first two employees at Ruggable, Matty’s Room is their second venture into building a category-defining consumer brand. This is your chance to join them at the ground floor and help shape something extraordinary.

The Role

We’re looking for a creative and detail-oriented Social Media Coordinator to join our growing team. You’ll play a key role in bringing Matty’s Room to life across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Pinterest—helping us grow an engaged community of parents and caregivers.

This role is perfect for someone who loves storytelling, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can balance playful creativity with brand consistency.

You’ll be working directly with the founders, starting from the very beginning of brand launch!

What You’ll Do

  • Own the Social Calendar: Plan, manage, and schedule posts across all channels.
  • Engage with Our Community: Respond to fans in a way that’s warm, empowering, and true to the Matty’s Room voice.
  • Create Content: Brainstorm and produce posts, stories, reels, and short-form video content that feels organic but also supports ad acquisition.
  • Support Strategy: Help shape our organic growth strategy by providing insights on best practices, trends, and platform updates.
  • Grow Our Channels: Share recommendations on posting times, formats, and engagement tactics to help us scale authentically.
  • Collaborate: Work with the brand and marketing team to ensure all content reflects our principles: Unleash the Child, Stumble to Stand, Draw Your Lines.
  • Data Tracking: Track weekly/monthly performance metrics (reach, engagement, follower growth); Share insights on what’s working and what can be improved.
  • Trend Spotting: Keep an eye on emerging trends, audio, and formats on TikTok/Instagram, suggest ways Matty’s Room can join cultural moments in a brand-appropriate way.
  • Influencer Support: Identify micro-influencers or creators to partner with.

What We’re Looking For

  • A love for social media and content creation (bonus if you’re active on TikTok or Instagram yourself).
  • Strong written communication skills and the ability to adapt to a brand’s voice.
  • Eye for aesthetics and alignment with Matty’s Room’s design-forward, minimalist style.
  • Curiosity, creativity, and willingness to learn. Growth-minded.
  • Experience with Canva, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, AI or video editing apps is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Shopify and Gorgias is a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Base Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
