Social Media Intern

About The Flower Bar

The Flower Bar is a luxury floral design studio creating bespoke arrangements for everyday moments and extraordinary events. We are looking for a creative, social-media-savvy intern to help us grow our visual presence and bring our floral world to life online.

Role Overview

The social media intern will work closely and under the direction of our Manager/Creaative Director to support content creation, capture, and scheduling across our social media channels. This is a hands-on role that blends artistic eye with organizational follow-through--ideal for a student studying marketing, communications, design or a related field.

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation & Capture

  • Assist the Creative Director in planning and executing content capture sessions in the shop.
  • Photograph and film floral arrangements, behind-the-scenes moments, and shop vignettes
  • Edit photos and short-form video (Reels, Stories) under the Creative Director's guidance
  • Help develop creative concepts that reflect The Flower Bar's luxury aesthetic

Posting & Scheduling

  • Schedule and publish approved content across Instagram and other platforms
  • Maintain a content calendar and ensure consistent posting cadence
  • Write captions and hashtags aligned with the brand's voice, with Creative Director review
  • Monitor comments and DMs, flagging anything requiring a response

What We're Looking For

  • Currently enrolled in a college or university program (marketing, communications, design, photography, or related field preferred)
  • Strong eye for aesthetics and visual storytelling
  • Familiarity with Instagram as a content creator, not just a viewer
  • Basic photo/video editing skills (Instagram, CapCut, VSCO, Lightroom or similar)
  • Organized, reliable, and responsive to direction
  • Passion for florals, design and luxury lifestyle content is a big plus

Schedule & Commitment

Hours are flexible and can be arranged around your class schedule. We ask for a consistent weekly commitment, with some in-shop days required for content capture. Remote scheduling and editing work can be done off-site.

Compensation

This is a minimum wage internship. We are happy to coordinate with your college or university for academic credit. Interns will receive hands-on mentorship, real portfolio content, and an immersive look at the operational and creative side of a luxury small business.

To Apply

Please send your resume, a brief note about yourself, and links to any social media accounts or portfolio work to orders@the-flower-bar.com. We'd love to see your eye for content!

Pay: $17.00 per hour

Benefits:
