Sparq Marketing is a Bay Area brand marketing agency passionate about social storytelling, design, and connecting brands with their audiences. We are looking for a motivated, creative, and dependable Social Media Manager to support a variety of clients including retail centers, restaurants, and national brands.

This is NOT a remote job. On a monthly basis, you will be required to go on location in Palo Alto and surrounding areas to shoot content at restaurants, capture lifestyle content at shopping centers, and cover community events. Light onsite account management duties such as managing posters may also be required. Some weekend work will be required.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Develop social media strategies and content calendars for multiple clients
• Shoot and create engaging content including Reels, Stories, graphics, and copy using Canva Pro
• Manage and schedule daily postings across Instagram and Facebook
• Own community management by replying to comments, DMs, reviews, and tags (Mon-Fri, with occasional weekend postings)
• Source UGC and proactively engage with relevant accounts to drive follower growth
• Identify, outreach, and manage influencer partnerships to support client campaigns
• Write on-brand copy for social posts, email newsletters, and marketing materials
• Track KPIs, conduct social audits, and deliver monthly performance reports
• Stay current on social media trends, tools, and best practices
• Serve as a reliable point of contact for client communication and support

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Proven experience managing social media accounts professionally (agency experience a plus)
• Strong content creation skills including video, photography, and graphic design
• Proficiency in Canva Pro and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive)
• Solid working knowledge of Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Pinterest
• Excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills
• Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Must be local to Palo Alto, SF Peninsula, or surrounding areas
• Flexibility for some weekend work required
• Experience with Facebook Business Manager and Meta Ads a plus
