About the Role

We’re hiring a Video Editor & Production Assistant to support short-form content creation for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and other digital platforms. This role combines hands-on editing and on-site production support, helping our team create engaging, platform-native content quickly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

1. Video Editing

• Edit short-form videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and other social platforms
• Add captions, transitions, sound effects, and light motion graphics
• Ensure edits align with platform trends, pacing, and brand guidelines
• Deliver polished videos on tight timelines for trend-based and evergreen content
• Organize and manage footage, project files, and media assets

2. Filming & Production Support

• Assist with on-site filming, including camera setup, lighting, framing, and shot preparation
• Support the team during content shoots as a production assistant
• Independently capture short-form content when needed

3. Content Collaboration

• Work closely with content and marketing teams to execute scripts, briefs, and creative concepts
• Provide input on editing style, pacing, and storytelling to improve content performance

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Film, Media, Communications, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience
• At least 2 years of experience editing short-form videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, or similar platforms
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or similar editing tools
• Strong understanding of short-form pacing, hooks, editing logic, and platform-native storytelling
• Ability to film content independently, with a solid understanding of camera operation, lighting, and composition
• Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and quick turnarounds
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

• Experience working with brand social media accounts, especially in e-commerce, wellness, or consumer products
• Experience editing or filming product, lifestyle, UGC-style, or creator-style content
• Familiarity with TikTok and Instagram trends and short-form content styles
• Ability to contribute creative ideas and support storytelling or light scripting
• Bilingual in English and Mandarin Chinese is a plus

Salary and Benefits

• Pay: $26.00–$29.00 per hour

Pay: $26.00–$29.00 per hour, depending on the candidate’s experience and skills. This is a full-time, non-exempt, on-site position based in our California office. Overtime will be paid in accordance with applicable law.
