solar Sales Manager

Key responsibilities

  • Sales strategy: Develop and implement plans to achieve and surpass sales targets for solar products like panels, inverters, and full-scale EPC (engineering, procurement, and construction) projects.
  • Team leadership: Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing sales team. Monitor their performance and provide coaching to help them succeed.
  • Business development: Identify new business opportunities and grow the company's client base by pursuing commercial, industrial, and utility-scale projects.
  • Client relationship management: Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with clients. For large projects, this includes managing contracts and negotiating agreements.
  • Market analysis: Stay informed on market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes. Use this knowledge to adjust sales strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Reporting: Track and forecast sales performance, and prepare regular reports for senior management.
  • Collaboration: Work with internal teams, such as engineering, project management, and marketing, to ensure a smooth project execution and alignment of strategies.

Skills and qualifications

  • Education: A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or engineering is typically required. An MBA can provide a competitive advantage.
  • Experience: Most positions require several years of sales and business development experience, with a proven track record of success in the solar or renewable energy sector.
  • Industry knowledge: Must have a strong technical understanding of solar technologies, including solar panels, PV systems, and energy storage.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills are essential for coaching and motivating a sales force.
  • Analytical skills: The ability to analyze market data, interpret sales reports, and forecast performance is crucial for strategic planning.
  • Technical aptitude: An understanding of electrical systems and ability to provide technical advice to clients is highly valuable.
  • Technology proficiency: Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software and sales analytics tools is needed.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
