Position Overview

We are recruiting a highly qualified Specialist Physician – Maternal & Fetal Medicine (MFM) to provide advanced subspecialty care in high-risk obstetrics within a tertiary-level healthcare setting in Al Ain. The successful candidate will manage complex maternal-fetal conditions and deliver comprehensive prenatal diagnostic and therapeutic services aligned with international clinical standards.

Core Clinical Responsibilities

· Management of high-risk pregnancies including:

o Hypertensive disorders of pregnancy (Pre-eclampsia / Eclampsia)

o Gestational and pre-existing diabetes

o Preterm labor and cervical insufficiency

o Placental abnormalities (Placenta previa, accreta spectrum)

o Multiple gestations

o Autoimmune and cardiac disorders in pregnancy

· Perform and interpret:

o Detailed Level II fetal anomaly scans

o First-trimester screening and NT scans

o Fetal growth and Doppler studies

o Fetal echocardiography (if trained)

· Conduct invasive prenatal diagnostic procedures:

o Amniocentesis

o Chorionic Villus Sampling (CVS)

o Cordocentesis (if applicable)

· Provide antenatal counseling for congenital anomalies and genetic disorders

· Develop multidisciplinary management plans in coordination with Neonatology, Pediatric Cardiology, Genetics, and ICU teams

· Participate in maternal morbidity & mortality reviews and clinical audits

· Ensure compliance with DOH regulations and international obstetric safety protocols

Qualifications & Professional Requirements

· MBBS or equivalent medical degree

· Recognized Specialization / Fellowship in Maternal & Fetal Medicine

· DOH License or DOH Exam Passer (Abu Dhabi)

· Dataflow Completed

· Minimum 3–5 years of post-specialty experience in tertiary care setting

· Proven competency in advanced fetal imaging and invasive procedures

· Strong clinical decision-making and multidisciplinary collaboration skills
