Location: Al Ain

A reputable healthcare facility in the Al Ain Region, Abu Dhabi, is seeking a highly skilled Specialist Physician – Obstetrics & Gynecology (Gynecology) with strong surgical expertise to join its Women’s Health Department.

Applicants must be willing to work and relocate to Al Ain Region.

This role is ideal for a Specialist with advanced hands-on experience in gynecological procedures and minimally invasive surgery, committed to delivering high standards of operative and post-operative patient care.

Position Overview

The Specialist Physician will focus on the surgical management of gynecological conditions, providing comprehensive pre-operative evaluation, operative intervention, and post-operative follow-up care in accordance with DOH standards and international best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and surgically manage a broad spectrum of gynecological conditions
• Perform gynecologic surgical procedures including but not limited to:
• Hysterectomy (open and laparoscopic)
• Ovarian cystectomy
• Myomectomy
• Dilation & Curettage (D&C)
• Hysteroscopy and other minimally invasive procedures
• Manage emergency gynecological surgical cases
• Provide pre-operative counseling and post-operative care
• Collaborate with anesthesiology and surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate operative documentation and compliance with DOH regulations
• Participate in quality improvement and surgical audit initiatives

Qualifications & Requirements

• MBBS or equivalent recognized medical degree
• Completion of accredited specialty training in Obstetrics & Gynecology
• Valid DOH License or DOH Eligibility Letter (Abu Dhabi)
• Dataflow verification completed
• Minimum 3–5 years of post-specialization experience with strong surgical exposure
• Proven experience in minimally invasive gynecological surgery preferred
• Excellent clinical judgment and operative decision-making skills
