Description of Work

Analyst Processing for Specialty Plans: Fire/Rescue, National Guard, Registers of Deeds, Consolidated Judicial, Legislative.
  • Processes retirement applications.
  • Reviews required retirement documentation to verify accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Contacts employers to verify and resolve reporting discrepancies.
  • Processes Service and/or Unpaid Contribution purchase calculations upon request from the member and/or Employer.
  • Discusses Service and Unpaid Contribution purchases and options with Pension Fund and Retirement System members.
  • Logs member death information in system when reported and acquires necessary documentation as required to process beneficiary payments.
  • Processes death claims for all active and retired Specialty Plan members.
  • Processes and determines member eligibility for disability benefits.
  • Discusses any discrepancies in payroll and date of disability with member and employer.
  • Reviews required disability forms for accuracy and completeness to submit to the Medical Board for decision.
  • Other duties as assigned

Independently resolves and/or develops recommendations for unprecedented issues and problems.
Integrates varying software applications and systems for information and records purposes.

This is a temporary position and there are no leave or retirement benefits offered with this position. Temporary employees who work an annual average of 30 or more hours per week may be eligible for health insurance coverage under the High-Deductible Health Plan (HDHP). Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $23.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).

Minimum Education and Experience

High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and four years of related administrative experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
