Sr. Bookkeeper / Non-profit Bookkeeper

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in accounting and finance, with a strong understanding of both small business and non-profit accounting practices. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can manage multiple accounts. This person would also grow with the company and handle client interface. The Senior Bookkeeper will play a crucial role in maintaining strong client relationships and team development.

This candidate must also possess a solid understanding of Non-Profit Bookkeeipng.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the full cycle of accounting processes including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliation.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, ensuring accuracy.
  • Expert at QuickBooks Online, accrual, journal entries, account reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation.
  • Utilize various accounting software such as QuickBooks, Gusto, ADP, and other financial software to maintain accurate records.
  • Review financials for accuracy.
  • Communicate clearly with team.
  • Interface with clients and provide excellent customer service.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Proven experience as a non-profit bookkeeper.
  • Strong knowledge of financial concepts including double-entry bookkeeping and account analysis.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks) is essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Meets deadlines consistently.
  • Exceptional communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients and team members.
