SR. ECONOMIC ANALYST - PLANNING & BUSINESS EXCELLENCE

Primary Purpose Of The Job

QatarEnergy is seeking a highly skilled Senior Economic Analyst to join our Planning & Business Excellence team within the Marketing Directorate. This role combines economic analysis, strategic planning, and performance assessment with IT project management to enhance marketing operations for petroleum, petrochemical, and polymer products. You will play a key role in supporting corporate governance, risk management, and long-term investment strategies while driving digital and automation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop marketing strategies and assess performance across functions.
• Ensure compliance with governance and risk standards; participate in audits.
• Prepare reports for senior management and the Board.
• Support long-term strategic investment planning.
• Lead automation and IT initiatives for marketing activities.
• Manage IT projects, external consultants, and basic platform maintenance.
• Utilize enterprise systems such as SAP and CRM in the energy sector.
  
  

Required Experience And Skills

• Minimum 10 years of experience in technical or commercial roles within oil & gas, petroleum, refining, or petrochemicals industries.
• Strong understanding of market trends, key players, and growth drivers in the energy sector.
• Proven expertise in economic analysis, financial assessments, and project investment evaluations.
• Experience in corporate governance, risk management, and budget control is preferred.
• Leadership experience managing small teams and projects.
• Experience in IT project planning, automation, and enterprise platforms (SAP, CRM)
  
  

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably Chemical), Economics, or Computational Science.
