Sr. Estimation Engineer – Transmission Projects

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Estimation Engineer to manage the estimation and tendering process for 132kV substations, overhead lines (OHL), and underground cable projects with DEWA, TRANSCO, ADWEA, FEWA, SEWA, and other UAE authorities. The role involves preparing accurate cost estimates, ensuring competitive bids, coordinating with internal teams and vendors, and supporting commercial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for substations, OHL, and underground cabling projects.

• Review tender documents, drawings, and specifications to understand project scope and requirements.

• Conduct quantity take-offs for electrical, civil, and cable-related works.

• Evaluate BOQs and prepare pricing using vendor and subcontractor data.

• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and planning teams for technical and commercial inputs.

• Lead preparation of technical and commercial proposals for authority tenders.

• Analyze supplier quotations for major equipment and materials (cables, panels, transformers).

• Participate in site visits and pre-bid meetings, preparing reports and recommendations.

• Support value engineering to optimize costs and enhance competitiveness.

• Maintain vendor pricing databases and monitor tender performance.

• Ensure all estimations comply with authority standards, regulations, and project specifications.
