THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE:
The Senior Manager of Talent Strategy and Organizational Design will be responsible for providing expert consultation, advice, recommendations, design, and management of key talent management processes and organizational design. This role is responsible for building and deploying the talent and performance practices that will empower and support our people, teams, and leaders in our corporate offices, distribution centers, and stores. Additionally, this role leads the design and implementation of enterprise-wide organizational design and effectiveness efforts. The Senior Manager will lead through their team to prioritize, design, and deploy innovative talent processes tied to Ulta Beauty’s overall talent strategy. They will function as a broad-based influencer and enabler for the achievement of the strategic build, deployment, and ongoing improvements of key processes.
This role’s focus will be designing innovative talent practices through effective leadership, project management and stakeholder management, with a strong focus on continuous improvement and change management. In addition, this role will work collaboratively with business partners and subject matter experts across the organization to assess needs, gather resource materials and information, and establish project plans.
This role requires excellent leadership and project management skills, a keen eye for detail, exceptional verbal and written communication, and the ability to balance rapidly changing priorities. It also requires someone that is passionate about solving complex organizational challenges.
YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH THESE GOALS BY:
- Serve as both program owner and project manager for our core talent management processes including performance management, talent review, succession planning, leadership models, culture and engagement surveys, and assessments.

Deliver subject matter expertise to a wide variety of projects including organization assessment, organization design, and culture transformation across the enterprise, with a heavy focus on change management. Develop strategies that assess organizational change readiness.
- Design and propose new organizational frameworks, operating models, job roles, and processes that align with the company's strategic goals.

Ensure that the organization has the right skills and is aligned with new structures and strategic priorities to drive productivity and growth.

Work directly with our People Strategy & Innovation team on updates and enhancements to core talent management processes.
- Consult with business partners on organizational design work to assess organizational efficiency and diagnosis necessary to design changes.
- Build measurement plans that effectively leverage data to determine success of talent initiatives.
- Engage in ongoing stakeholder management through effective collaboration with People Success team and business partners.

Provide thought leadership, guidance, and advocacy for diversity, equity, and inclusion in all talent projects, processes, and programs.
- Research future organizational development trends and collaborate within People analytics to develop insights to formulate data-driven recommendations to the business to support OD initiatives.

Utilizes a continuous improvement mindset to improve talent processes through leading practices, lessons learned, research, and utilization of training evaluation results.
- Partner closely People Success technology team to efficiently manage and continuously improve processes and operation.

THE ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS:

Bachelor’s Degree in relevant HR focused program
-
Five (5) or more years of OD or relevant experience
-
Experience leading organizational design in an organization
-
Experience leading succession and talent reviews
-
Experience owning performance management cycles
-
Experience Facilitating face-to-face trainings for mid-level managers, individual contributors, as well as large group audiences (100 people +), required

Experience managing the work of direct and/or indirect reports, required

Experience with program management

High proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite

Excellent time management skills and adherence to project timelines to balance a heavy workload while seamlessly shifting focus to deliver on changing business needs

Ability to improvise quickly to identify solutions

Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills including communicating edits, feedback, and recommendations with tact and diplomacy

Demonstrated flexibility in adapting to a wide variety of tasks and a resourceful problem solver, able to tackle any kind of setback and obstacle

: The pay range for this position is $119,300.00 - $161,200.00 / Year with the opportunity for eligible associates to earn additional compensation pursuant to the Company’s bonus plan. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business and organizational needs. Full-time positions are eligible for paid time off, health, dental, vision, life and disability benefits. Part-time positions are eligible for dental, vision, life, and disability benefits.
