Key Responsibilities
- Business Development: Prospect and identify new leads in target markets. Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets.
- Sales Execution: Conduct technical sales presentations, product demonstrations, and site assessments to showcase CMETS' off-grid solutions. Lead the full sales cycle from initial consultation to contract negotiation and closure.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture long-term relationships with key stakeholders, including C-level executives and technical decision-makers. Provide post-sale support, upsell opportunities, and gather feedback to refine offerings.
- Product Expertise: Deeply understand and articulate the value proposition of CMETS' product lines, including:
- Energy Storage: Lithium-ion and advanced battery systems for reliable power backup.
- Solar Power Systems: Modular photovoltaic arrays and hybrid inverters for scalable off-grid generation.
- EV Chargers: Portable and stationary charging stations compatible with off-grid setups.
- UPS Solutions: Uninterruptible power supplies for critical load protection.
- Accessories & Monitoring: Voltage regulators, surge protectors, and remote energy monitors for system optimization and real-time oversight.
- Market Intelligence: Analyse industry trends, competitor activities, and customer pain points in the off-grid energy space. Collaborate with marketing to develop compelling collateral and case studies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, product, and customer success teams to customize solutions, resolve technical queries, and ensure project success.
- Reporting & Compliance: Maintain accurate CRM records (e.g., Salesforce), track sales pipeline, and prepare performance reports. Ensure all activities comply with local regulations and CMETS' ethical sales standards.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 5-7 years in technical sales or business development, with at least 3 years focused on off-grid/renewable energy solutions. Proven track record of exceeding sales quotas in B2B environments.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of off-grid power systems, including solar PV, battery storage, EV infrastructure, and power electronics.
- Skills:
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value.
- Proficiency in CRM tools, MS Office Suite, and basic data analytics.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% (regional and international).
- Personal Attributes: Self-motivated, resilient, and collaborative team player with a customer-centric mindset. Fluency in English; Arabic or additional languages are advantageous.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in emerging markets or harsh-environment applications (e.g., deserts, islands).
- Knowledge of financing models for renewable projects (e.g., PPA, leasing).
- Background in EV ecosystem or smart grid technologies.
