Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your procurement and supplier management expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside dynamic and collaborative teammates.

You'll play a critical role in optimizing product total cost of ownership while driving supplier relationships and procurement strategies that align with Alstom’s global objectives. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams across regions, lead cost-saving initiatives, and ensure supplier excellence, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of leading commodity maturity improvement plans, but also managing supplier risks and implementing mitigation strategies.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Acquiring knowledge of global markets, organizing benchmarks, and applying cost models

  • Acting as an expert in optimizing product total cost of ownership

  • Supporting project and tender execution activities

  • Applying Alstom’s procurement process and ensuring compliance

  • Leading saving plans using ASIP levers such as Design to Cost, BCC, and volume optimization

  • Driving supplier negotiations and enhancing supplier relationships

  • Managing supplier Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Technical (QCDT) objectives and performance

  • Defining and implementing commodity strategies in alignment with stakeholders

  • Leading supplier onboarding and ensuring early involvement in tender and project phases

  • Promoting the Alstom Code of Ethics and adhering to the highest standards of ethical conduct

  • A degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field

  • Experience or understanding of global market dynamics and supplier management

  • Knowledge of procurement processes and cost optimization models

  • Familiarity with supplier risk management and mitigation planning

  • A certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is a plus

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills

  • Ability to lead and develop teams in a collaborative environment

  • Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
