STA Engineer

• Analyse and verify the timing characteristics of complex digital designs using STA tools, Identify and resolve timing violations (setup, hold, clock domain crossing, etc.) and provide recommendations for improvement, timing closure across different corners and operating conditions.
• Optimize Timing and Performance:
  • Work with design and verification teams to optimize critical paths and improve overall circuit performance, Suggest and implement design modifications for timing closure.
• Work with RTL and Netlist:
  • Review RTL code and synthesized netlist to identify potential timing issues early in the design cycle, Ensure proper timing constraints are applied and validated for each stage of the design flow.
• Timing Analysis and Reporting:
  • Generate detailed timing reports and summaries for design reviews, Collaborate with other teams (e.g., place and route, physical design) to resolve timing-related issues and ensure optimal sign-off.
• Collaboration:
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including RTL designers, physical designers, and verification engineers, Act as a mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers in the field of STA.
• Ensure Timing Sign-off:
  • Validate designs with respect to process variation, temperature, voltage, and other environmental factors, Ensure the design meets timing closure before handoff to tape-out.
