JOB PURPOSE:
-
Responsible for the sourcing, stocking and maintaining all materials (inventory management) required by camp
-
Coordinating with Stores in the port for movement of inventory from camp stores to the port stores
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
-
Assist Camp Superintendent in preparing the departmental budget
-
Maintain inventory levels and order points to ensure adequate supply of materials to serve requirements of camp
-
Identify fast moving and slow-moving items and maintain inventory levels (minimum, maximum, reorder levels) for different items
-
Ensure that purchase requisition is forwarded to Procurement Department after checking inventory levels in stores
-
Ensure that purchase requisition is approved by Camp Superintendent
-
Coordinate with Procurement Department to ensure that purchase orders are generated against corresponding purchase requisitions
-
Ensure that copies of goods receipt note, invoice, are submitted to Procurement Department
-
Update system for all transfer of material and receipt of stock
-
Coordinate movement of materials received at camp area to stores in the port premises
-
Validate the goods on arrival from the suppliers and in case of any discrepancies report the same to Camp Superintendent
-
Periodically conduct inventory quality check and count and report to camp superintendent in case of discrepancies

Establish and maintain performance criteria (KPIs) for reporting staff
-
Provide regular process control checks and initiate and support performance improvement activities
-
Record Number and nature of accidents. Ensure safety principles are followed
-
Ensuring good relationship with vendors
-
Ensure balance in the duty schedules with allocated day offs
-
Responsible to maintain safety and discipline in the work area
-
Ensure compliance with Fatal Risk Standards
-
Ensure compliance with Safe Work Practices
-
Ensure compliance with HSE policy
-
Reporting accidents and ‘near misses’ in accordance with defined safety procedures
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
-
Experience in inventory management/ warehousing practices: Preferable: 3 to 5 years
-
Experience in supervisory role
-
Mandatory: 2 to 3 years
-
Preferably Graduate
-
Experience in industry maintenance, systems, methods and standards
