Storekeeper

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Storekeeper with a background in Food and Beverage (F&B) to manage inventory, ensure timely stock replenishment, and maintain food safety and hygiene standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in handling perishable and non-perishable items, understand FIFO/FEFO principles, and support smooth kitchen and service operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming food and beverage items against purchase orders and invoices.
  • Ensure proper storage of all F&B products according to safety and hygiene standards (temperature control, labeling, etc.).
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using manual logs and/or inventory software (e.g., ERP, POS).
  • Monitor stock levels regularly and coordinate with purchasing team for replenishment.
  • Apply FIFO (First In, First Out) and FEFO (First Expiry, First Out) inventory methods to reduce wastage and manage shelf life.
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock counts and assist with audits.
  • Safely store and organize products in designated areas (dry, cold, and frozen storage).
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the store area in compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with chefs and service teams to fulfill requisitions accurately and on time.
  • Report any discrepancies, damages, or expired goods immediately.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a storekeeper in a food and beverage environment (restaurant, hotel, catering, or food production).
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and HACCP practices.
  • Familiarity with inventory control systems and MS Excel.
  • Physically fit and able to lift and move heavy stock.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certificate or diploma in Storekeeping, Inventory Management, or F&B Management.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Odoo) or restaurant inventory software.
  • Knowledge of local health and safety regulations.

Pay: QAR1,800.00 - QAR2,200.00 per month
