- Maintain accurate stock records of all construction materials (cement, steel, sand, electricals, plumbing items, etc.).
- Conduct regular stock audits.
- Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels to avoid overstocking or shortages.
- Check incoming materials for quality, quantity, and specification compliance.
- Coordinate with purchase department and vendors.
- Record Goods Received Notes (GRN).
- Issue materials as per Material Requisition Slips (MRS) from site engineers.
- Track issuance vs. consumption to avoid wastage.
- Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports.
- Keep records of purchase orders, delivery challans, and invoices.
- Report damaged or non-conforming goods.
- Collaborate with site engineers for material forecasting.
- Update procurement team on stock status for timely purchases.
- Assist in logistics coordination.
- Ensure proper storage to avoid damage or theft.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and material stacking standards.
- Implement FIFO (First In, First Out) or LIFO as required.
- Track issuance and return of construction tools and equipment.
- Maintain service records for tools.
- Follow company SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) related to stores.
- Ensure all safety norms are followed in storage and material handling.
