Job Summary:
The Storekeeper is responsible for managing and organizing inventory, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and overseeing the efficient operation of the storage facility. This role involves receiving, storing, and issuing materials, equipment, and other items while maintaining a well-organized and orderly storage area.

Location-DIC Factory( switchgear Shopfloor)

Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Management:
  • Receive, inspect, and document incoming materials, supplies, and equipment.
  • Organize and maintain inventory in a systematic manner to facilitate easy access and retrieval.
  • Regularly conduct physical counts of inventory to ensure accuracy and reconcile any discrepancies.
  • Stock Control:
  • Monitor stock levels and initiate reordering processes as needed to avoid stock outs.
  • Collaborate with procurement and other relevant departments to update stock levels based on demand forecasts.
  • Implement and maintain efficient stock rotation procedures to minimize waste and ensure product freshness.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping:
  • Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing goods.
  • Generate regular reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and any variances.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding inventory control.
  • Issuing and Dispatch:
  • Fulfill internal requisitions by accurately picking, packing, and issuing requested items.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials.
  • Verify and document the condition of items before dispatch to prevent discrepancies.
  • Safety and Security:
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols in the storage area.
  • Safeguard the storage facility against unauthorized access and potential theft.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and report any safety concerns promptly.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification.
  • Proven experience as a storekeeper
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software and basic computer skills.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 1- 3 Years of Experience in same field.
  • Having knowledge of switchgear products and previous experience in switchgear is an added advantage
