A Strategic Partnerships Intern supports team efforts to identify, cultivate, and manage relationships with external stakeholders, donors, or corporate partners. Key duties include conducting market research, donor mapping, drafting partnership proposals, assisting with event logistics, and managing data records to support business development and strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Research & Mapping: Analyze potential partners, industry trends, and funding opportunities, particularly for private sector prospects or bilateral donors.
- Partnership Support: Assist in drafting proposals, briefing notes, reports, and communication materials for external partners.
- Data & Database Management: Update partnership tracking databases, spreadsheets, and CRM tools.
- Logistics & Coordination: Assist with organizing meetings, workshops, and high-level events, including managing RSVPs and preparing materials.
- Support & Administration: Provide general administrative support to the partnerships team.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, International Relations, Development Studies, or a related field.
- Skills: Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and strong research capabilities.
- Competencies: Strong communication skills (written/oral), ability to take initiative, and capability to work in cross-functional teams.
- Languages: Excellent command of English is typically required; additional languages are often an asset.
