Strategic Sourcing Manager

Saco, United States

Are you a deal-maker who loves turning complex supply chains into a competitive advantage? As our Strategic Sourcing Manager, you’ll take the lead in unifying purchasing strategies across two high-performing manufacturing facilities. From metals and tooling to critical outside services, you’ll drive savings, strengthen supplier partnerships, and help position us for long-term growth. This isn’t a back-office role — it’s a high-impact seat at the table where your work directly fuels innovation, efficiency, and customer success.

Make a big impact across two facilities.

We’re looking for a Strategic Sourcing Manager who thrives on building partnerships, driving smarter buying strategies, and shaping how we source the metals, tooling, and outside services that keep our operations running. This role isn’t about pushing paper — it’s about creating leverage, unlocking savings, and ensuring our teams have the resources they need to deliver world-class manufacturing.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the strategy: Lead sourcing initiatives across both facilities, consolidating spend and creating long-term supplier partnerships.
  • Drive results: Negotiate contracts, manage supplier performance, and identify opportunities to cut costs without compromising quality or delivery.
  • Be the connector: Work closely with engineering, production, quality, and finance to align sourcing decisions with technical needs and business goals.
  • Strengthen resilience: Develop a supplier risk management approach that ensures stability and reliability across our supply chain.
  • Lead improvement: Bring fresh thinking to purchasing processes and systems — make them faster, leaner, and more transparent.

What You Bring

  • 7+ years of procurement or sourcing experience (ideally in aerospace, defense, or precision manufacturing).
  • A proven track record in negotiations, supplier management, and cost reduction.
  • Experience consolidating sourcing strategies across multiple sites.
  • Deep knowledge of metals, tooling, and machining supply chains.
  • Strong analytical skills, a collaborative style, and the ability to juggle priorities in a fast-moving environment.
  • A degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field; certifications like CPSM/CPIM are a plus.
