Summer Camp Counselor (Seasonal)

Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Camp Counselors to join our team for an exciting summer camp experience. As a Camp Counselor, you will be responsible for creating a safe, fun, and educational environment for children of various ages. You will lead activities, provide guidance, and foster a sense of community among campers while ensuring their well-being and development throughout their time at camp.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage with campers in various activities, ensuring their safety and enjoyment.
• Plan and facilitate educational and recreational activities focused on STEM related fields.
• Provide support to campers with special needs or behavioral challenges through effective behavior management techniques.
• Foster positive relationships with campers by encouraging participation, teamwork, and personal growth.
• Educate campers on important skills such as first aid, teamwork, and conflict resolution.
• Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding camper progress and any concerns that may arise.
• Maintain a clean and organized camp environment by following health and safety protocols.

Skills

• Experience in childcare or working with children in a camp setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of special education practices to support diverse learning needs.
• Strong tutoring skills to assist campers with academic-related activities.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable.
• Ability to coach sports or lead physical activities effectively.
• Excellent behavior management skills to create a positive atmosphere for all campers.
• Passion for educating children through engaging programs in areas such as theater or arts.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
