Position
The Innovation Studio Technical Assistant supports the delivery of hands-on programming across AI, AR, digital marketing, content production, and product development within the Innovation Studio tracks. This role is ideal for college students or emerging professionals seeking experience in technology-enabled storytelling, creative production, and workforce-based learning environments.
Technical Assistants support student development of AR experiences, AI-powered engagement tools, and Legacy Innovation Box products that integrate storytelling, cultural preservation, branding, and product supply chain concepts. This includes helping youth translate civil rights narratives and community stories into interactive, market-ready experiences and products.
Anticipated hours will be M-F 8:30am - 2:30pm.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist instructors with implementation of AI, AR, digital marketing, and content production curriculum
- Support students in building projects including fan experience campaigns and Legacy Innovation Box products
- Assist youth in integrating storytelling into projects, including narrative development, branding, and audience engagement
- Support activities that connect technology to cultural and historical preservation
- Provide hands-on guidance with AR platforms, content creation tools, and digital production software
- Assist with development of product concepts including packaging, branding, and supply chain flow for Legacy Innovation Boxes
- Troubleshoot basic technical issues related to software, platforms, and devices
- Support facilitation of project labs, team collaboration, and innovation sprints
- Assist with documentation of student work including digital portfolios, campaign assets, and media content
- Support showcase preparation including technical setup, product displays, and interactive demonstrations
- Reinforce student engagement, creativity, and cultural awareness throughout programming
Required Qualifications
- 18+ years old
- Ability to pass a background check
- Basic knowledge of coding or computer science concepts
- Strong willingness to learn and support instruction
- Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a college or university program
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Background or coursework in Computer Science, Information Technology, Digital Media, Marketing, Business, or related field
- Basic understanding of digital tools, content creation, etc
- Interest in storytelling, branding, marketing, or product development
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, youth-centered environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with youth
- Exposure to AR platforms, AI tools, or digital marketing systems
- Experience with content creation, social media, branding, or multimedia production
- Interest in product development, entrepreneurship, or supply chain concepts
- Familiarity with Atlanta history or civil rights narratives is a plus

- Reliable transportation and ability to be punctual for program in Downtown Atlanta.
Preferred Education/Experience
- Computer Science, Education, or other relevant college major. Proof of enrollment of degree must be submitted.
Physical Demands
- This position requires frequent walking, standing, talking, and sitting at a desk for extended periods
- Ability to use electronic devices, mobile phones, smart devices, and copiers are necessary for the performance of this position
- Ability to lift 25 pounds
