Role Purpose

Maintain standards and controls within the shop by checking the work at pre-determined stages.

Job Accountabilities & Activities

• Allocate work via routing sheet to machinists
• Assist the machinist in setting up of jobs in the machine, where necessary.
• Maintain standards and controls within the shop by checking the work at pre-determined stages.
• Report non-conformance to QC supervisor.
• Raise material requisition for tools and other requirements.
• Report to Superintendent on jobs completion, back-log, training requirements and other needs of the department.
• Ensure the shop is maintained clean & tidy, and all equipment’s are used in a safe manner.
• Provide man-hour consumption, material requirement and other details to sales department / estimators to prepare estimate / quotation.
• Plan & schedule the jobs and distribute among the available manpower and machines.
• Follow up with Inspection Company to know the in-coming jobs and plan accordingly, to meet the delivery schedule.
• Follow up with customers & sales department for required accessories to complete a job.
• Meet the emergency requirements by rescheduling of jobs for quick turn around and to increase the revenue.
• Planning of jobs during weekends and eid-holidays to minimize the over time

Degree in Mechanical engineering
