Support Teacher (Part-Time)

Join our dynamic educational team as a Part-Time Support Teacher, where your passion for early childhood development and dedication to nurturing young learners will make a meaningful impact. As a Support Teacher, you will collaborate with lead educators to create a positive classroom environment that promotes literacy, social-emotional skills, and foundational knowledge across various subjects including math and physical education. Duties

  • Assist in implementing curriculum development plans that cater to diverse learning needs, including special education and Montessori methods.
  • Support classroom management by maintaining an organized, safe, and stimulating environment for children.
  • Engage with children through interactive lessons, tutoring sessions, and physical activities designed to promote childhood development and early intervention strategies.
  • Help plan and execute lesson plans focused on literacy education, math skills, and preschool readiness.
  • Monitor student progress through standardized testing preparations and ongoing assessments; document observations to inform instructional strategies.
  • Foster positive behavior management by encouraging respectful interactions and guiding children in social-emotional learning.
  • Collaborate with lead teachers to support childcare routines, toddler care activities, and classroom transitions that enhance child welfare.

Experience

  • Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings such as daycare, preschool, or private schools is highly valued.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of early childhood education principles, childhood development stages, and classroom management techniques.
  • Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, tutoring, and teaching physical education is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention programs, and Montessori methods will set candidates apart.
  • Strong communication skills are essential for effectively working with students, parents, and fellow educators.
  • Previous classroom experience involving standardized testing or literacy education will be beneficial.
