Job Responsibilities
- Conduct precise field surveys using total stations, GPS/GNSS receivers, digital levels, and other advanced surveying instruments.
- Collect, validate, and record field data including boundaries, elevations, topography, and existing site conditions.
- Ensure accuracy, reliability, and integrity of all survey measurements and documentation.
- Process and analyze survey data using specialized software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, or similar platforms.
- Prepare survey deliverables including maps, drawings, layouts, plats, legal descriptions, and technical reports.
- Perform calculations for areas, volumes, coordinates, alignments, and other project-specific requirements.
- Provide survey and layout support for engineering, infrastructure, construction, and land development projects.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, planners, and contractors to ensure designs align with field conditions.
- Execute boundary, topographic, route, and construction stakeout surveys in compliance with project specifications.
- Verify survey activities meet regulatory, legal, and quality standards.
- Research, analyze, and interpret deeds, property records, and land titles to resolve boundary-related issues.
- Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot surveying instruments to ensure operational readiness.
- Support project managers by providing accurate as-built records and survey updates during construction.
Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma/Associate’s/Bachelor’s Degree in Geomatics, Land Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 3–5 years of proven professional experience in land or engineering surveying (GCC experience preferred).
- Strong knowledge of survey methods, geodetic principles, and field data collection techniques.
- Proficiency in surveying software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, Leica Geo Office, or equivalent.
- Ability to prepare and interpret survey drawings, legal plats, and technical documentation.
- Excellent skills in mathematics, spatial analysis, and problem-solving.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and coordination abilities with a proactive approach.
- Capable of working independently, handling multiple projects, and meeting strict deadlines.
- Experience in specialized surveys (boundary, topographic, or construction layout) will be an added advantage.
