Qazaq Group, Bakerist Restaurant is looking for a skilled and experienced Sushi Chef to join our culinary team.

Job Description: Sushi Chef

The Sushi Chef will be responsible for preparing high-quality sushi dishes, maintaining consistency, and ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and food safety. This role requires strong attention to detail, creativity, and the ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare all types of sushi including maki, nigiri, sashimi, uramaki, and signature rolls
• Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portioning
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety at all times
• Manage sushi station inventory, order supplies, and minimize wastage
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to innovate and introduce new sushi items
• Ensure proper storage and handling of raw ingredients, especially seafood
• Monitor freshness and quality of all products
• Train and guide junior team members when required

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Sushi Chef in restaurants or premium hospitality concepts
• Strong knowledge of Japanese culinary techniques and sushi preparation
• Excellent knife skills and understanding of raw fish handling
• Ability to work independently and efficiently under pressure
• Must be currently based in Dubai
• Immediate availability preferred
