We are looking for Sustainability (EHS) Engineer who will work in İzmir and be responsible develop and deploy the environment, health, safety (Sustainability) systems programs and EHS Pillar tools/systems, aligned with business needs, in accordance with OGSM and legal requirements.

Continually improve the systems based on benchmark, reapplication, audit results, incident investigations, business and process changes.

Developing, implementing and monitoring the EHS management system and programs. Continually searching for improvements to protect people from injury and occupational illnesses, the environment from damage, the business from unnecessary losses.

Executing a proactive loss prevention program including risk management, inspections, audits, and emergency planning, by monitoring their implementation, in order to eliminate or reduce health, safety and environmental risks to an acceptable level.

Developing and implementing EHS training modules, by analyzing the training needs, and maintaining training records of employees, contractors and visitors, to ensure they fully understand the EHS aspects of their job and responsibilities.

Provide timely reporting of EHS performance indicators to factory management, cluster/region and EHS-OC, by ensuring the data is updated and accurate, in order to ensure reliability of the information.

Participating in EHS projects, by providing clarity on the integration of EHS requirements in the design, construction/installation and commissioning of new and/or revamped buildings, engineering works, machinery, and equipment.

Act as professional Sustainability reference and point of contact.

Plan, execute and monitor functional Sustainability and EHS Pillar activities to ensure the capability deployment of the factory, eliminating and decreasing the risk levels.

Implementation/sustainance of legal requirements and applicable standards such as ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor/ Master in Engineering/Science or technical high school diploma. Preferably in environmental/Sustainability/safety engineering or equivalent education.

Adequate qualification in Sustainability (EHS) in accordance with local legal requirements.

3-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment as a specialist in EHS.

Advanced knowledge in Risk Assessment.
-
Ability to Implement/sustain ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001.

LOTO and Machinery Safety (legal and BIC solutions)
-
Problem Solving / Investigation / Analytical thinking.
-
Project management basic skills.
-
AWS and Carbon Neutrality knowledge is a plus.

Lean Management System/Tools (internal IWS).
-
Experience in organizational culture change is a plus.
