Swimming Pool and Water Tank Cleaning Supervisor

Job Purpose

• Oversee and manage all swimming pool and water-tank cleaning operations to maintain the highest standards of hygiene, water quality, and safety.
• Lead and support the cleaning team, ensure proper chemical handling and equipment usage, conduct routine inspections, and coordinate schedules and resources to ensure efficient service delivery and full compliance with municipal and health regulations

Roles, Responsibilities, Duties

Operational Oversight

• Supervise daily cleaning and maintenance of swimming pools and water tanks.
• Plan and assign tasks, manage schedules, and monitor productivity across sites.
• Ensure correct mixing, dosing, and application of cleaning chemicals and disinfectants.
• Monitor and maintain pool filtration and water circulation systems.

Water Quality & Safety Controls

• Conduct routine water testing (pH, chlorine level, TDS, turbidity) and record results.
• Ensure cleaning procedures follow UAE municipal health guidelines and safety standards.
• Identify and resolve water quality issues through corrective actions.

Team Leadership & Training

• Lead, guide, and motivate cleaning operatives and technicians.
• Provide training on cleaning procedures, chemical handling, and safe work practices.
• Conduct toolbox talks and ensure staff follow PPE and HSE protocols.

Equipment & Material Management

• Ensure proper use, maintenance, and storage of cleaning tools, machinery, and chemicals.
• Report and request replacements for damaged equipment or low stock materials.

Compliance & Documentation

• Maintain accurate logs for cleaning schedules, water test reports, and service checklists.
• Ensure compliance with local authority regulations and internal SOPs.
• Report any incidents, hazards, or maintenance issues immediately.

Client and Stakeholder Communication

• Coordinate with facility management teams and clients to confirm schedules and site access.
• Address service-related concerns professionally and escalate when required.
• Support inspections by regulatory authorities when needed

Continuous Improvement

• Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency, service quality, and safety.
• Support the implementation of new cleaning techniques and equipment when approved .

Information Security responsibilities:

• Comply with Khidmah Information Security Policies
• Be aware of and fulfil their information security responsibilities
• Ensure whoever handles sensitive company information have taken the Security Awareness Training
• Know how to report a security incident (to IT ServiceDesk or InfoSec).
• Not Disable his/her OS firewall and/or Antivirus
• Restrict use to authorized purposes, Protect access accounts, privileges and associated passwords.
• Accept accountability of his/her individual user accounts, and maintain confidentiality

Experience and Skills:

Industry Experience (No. of years):

• 3–5 years in pool and water-tank cleaning or facilities maintenance.

Position/functional experience (No. of years):

• 1–2 years in a supervisory or team-lead role.

Competencies and Skills:

• Strong team supervision and coordination abilities
• Solid knowledge of pool and water-tank cleaning, filtration systems, and chemical usage
• Skilled in water-quality testing and interpreting results (pH, chlorine, TDS)
• Strong understanding of UAE hygiene and safety regulations
• Commitment to safe chemical handling and PPE compliance
• Good planning, scheduling, and problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and service excellence
• Effective communication and client-interaction skills
• Ability to maintain accurate logs and reports.

Education & Qualification

High school diploma or relevant vocational certificate

Training in pool maintenance or water-treatment systems preferred

Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or similar qualification is an advantage

Basic First Aid and safety awareness preferred
