System Administrator 3

Join AZAD as a System Administrator and provide support and assistance to the Systems Administration organization of the Platform Services organization for the Information Technology department. This position will provide operating implementation design and system support in order to provide sustainable, stable and secure enterprise level servers including backup recovery, performance tuning, upgrades/patches, maintenance, troubleshooting, permissions and file sharing. This position focuses primarily on configuration and configuration management of the operating system and applications that rely upon Enterprise distributions of Linux.

This is a 2 year plus consultant position with high probability of long term and ongoing continued employment. This position is full time remote, but must live within 125 miles of Portland, OR.

The hourly pay rate range for this position
is $55.00 to $65.00 depending on related qualifications and experience, as well as composition of selected compensation package.

The ideal candidate must possess the minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science or a closely related technical discipline is preferred.
10 years combination of education and/or work experience in computer/information technology or related field is required.
5 years of experience working in a large production environment is required.
Architecture, installation, and support of Red Hat or Oracle Linux operating systems.
Maintenance and support of Exadata server systems.
Interconnectivity with Windows servers for file, mail, and print sharing.
Experience architecting and configuring Linux systems that utilize high availability RAID and SAN storage solutions.
Automating administrative tasks and procedures using KSH, CSH or Perl scripts.
Creation of virtual hosts and clients using products such as VMware EXSi and/or VMware EXSi administration experience.
Administration and architecture of Apache, Tomcat, Weblogic and/or JBoss application servers.
Security hardening and configuration management aligned with FISMA or DoD standards.
Experience architecting and configuring Puppet infrastructure including unit test pipeline workflow.
Experience configuring and reporting Puppet SCE security module (compliance admin).
Experience with gitlab change control and infrastructure support.
Valid U.S. Driver's License or RealID is required.


Preferred:


Experience with architecting and/or developing ansible server build automation playbooks.
Red Hat RHCE or RHCT certification, or other Linux/Unix certification, is preferred.
CISSP or similar security training/certification is preferred.
