Systems Integration Engineer | Technical Consultant

Role Description

A hands-on engineer to deploy, configure, and support mission-critical applications running on Linux, integrated with enterprise databases, middleware/MQ, and REST/SOAP services. The role combines implementation, L1/L2 support, system integration, and troubleshooting across environments (Dev/Test/UAT/Prod). Exposure to financial markets (e.g., FX, money markets, payments, trading platforms) is a strong plus.

Technical Skills:

Operating Systems: Strong hands-on experience with Linux environments, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.

Scripting & Automation: Proficiency in shell scripting (bash) and at least one additional scripting language (e.g., Python) for automation and deployment tasks.

Application Deployment & Support: Ability to implement, configure, and maintain enterprise applications across Dev/UAT/Production environments.

Database Expertise: Solid understanding of relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL), including SQL queries, performance tuning, and connection management.

Middleware & Messaging: Experience with middleware platforms and message queues (e.g., IBM MQ, RabbitMQ, Kafka), including configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

API Integration: Strong knowledge of REST and SOAP web services:

  • REST: OpenAPI/Swagger, JSON, API testing tools (Postman/cURL).
  • SOAP: WSDL/XSD

System Integration: Proven ability to integrate applications with external/internal systems using APIs, MQ, and batch processes; familiarity with integration patterns (request/reply, publish/subscribe, retries, DLQs).

Security & Certificates: Understanding of TLS/SSL, certificate management (keystores, truststores), and secure service-to-service communication.

Monitoring & Observability: Exposure to logging and monitoring for proactive issue detection and performance tuning.

CI/CD & Containerization: Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps), and container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift for automated deployments and orchestration.

Financial Domain (Preferred): Knowledge of financial markets, especially FX, money markets, trading platforms, and related integration flows is an added advantage.

Soft Skills

  • Analytical thinking: ability to understand complex data flows and propose efficient solutions
  • Teamwork: experience in collaborative environments and Agile methodologies
  • Effective communication: ability to document processes, present findings, and work with business and technology areas
  • Autonomy: proactivity in researching and resolving integration issues

Education

  • Courses or certifications in Linux, DevOps, Database, Systems Integration, or APIs are desirable
  • Experience in financial markets (FX) is a plus

Languages

  • Technical English (able to read documentation and communicate with international teams)

Experience: 2 to 5 years

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs200,000.00 - Rs400,000.00 per month
