Job Overview

The Team Lead – Recruitment will be responsible for managing a team of recruiters, driving client delivery, ensuring hiring SLAs are met, and contributing to business growth through high-quality talent acquisition. This role combines hands-on recruiting with leadership, mentoring, and process ownership.

Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Management & Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of recruiters and coordinators
  • Allocate roles, targets, and priorities across the team
  • Conduct daily/weekly team huddles, performance reviews, and feedback sessions
  • Upskill team members on sourcing, screening, stakeholder communication, and closures

Recruitment Delivery

  • Handle end-to-end recruitment for critical and leadership roles when required
  • Ensure timely delivery against client mandates and hiring SLAs
  • Review resumes, shortlist quality candidates, and validate profiles before client submission
  • Monitor interview pipelines, offers, negotiations, and closures

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the main point of contact for assigned clients
  • Understand client hiring needs, role expectations, and cultural fit
  • Provide hiring insights, market intelligence, and regular hiring updates
  • Ensure client satisfaction and repeat business

Process & Quality Control

  • Set recruitment standards, checklists, and best practices
  • Ensure data accuracy in ATS / trackers / reports
  • Drive process improvements to reduce TAT and improve candidate experience
  • Ensure compliance with internal hiring and documentation processes

Reporting & Metrics

  • Track and report team KPIs (closures, CV submissions, TAT, conversion ratios)
  • Maintain recruitment dashboards and weekly/monthly reports
  • Highlight risks, bottlenecks, and solutions proactively

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong experience in end-to-end recruitment (IT / Non-IT / Leadership hiring)
  • Proven ability to manage and motivate recruitment teams
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong sourcing expertise (LinkedIn, job portals, referrals, market mapping)
  • Target-driven mindset with a focus on quality and timelines
  • High ownership, accountability, and problem-solving ability

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA / PGDM in HR or related field
  • Experience in recruitment consulting or staffing firms
  • Exposure to startup, mid-size, or confidential hiring mandates
