Job Purpose:

The Talent Management Specialist is responsible for identifying, assessing, and developing high-performing and high-potential employees to build a strong internal talent pipeline aligned with the company’s business strategy. The role focuses on implementing robust talent assessment frameworks, designing development journeys, and supporting succession planning to ensure organizational capability and readiness for future leadership needs in the pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Talent Identification & Assessment

  • Design, coordinate, and execute talent assessment initiatives for high-performing and high-potential employees across all functions.
  • Utilize a combination of psychometric tools, assessment centers, behavioral interviews, and performance data to identify key talent segments.
  • Maintain and update the Talent Matrix (9-Box Grid) and ensure data accuracy within the Talent Management System (TMS/SAP/SuccessFactors) .
  • Partner with HR Business Partners and Line Managers to validate assessment outcomes and ensure consistency and fairness in evaluation.


2. Talent Development & Career Acceleration

  • Design and implement tailored Individual Development Plans (IDPs) for high potentials and successors based on assessment outcomes.
  • Develop and coordinate Talent Development Programs (e.g., Fast Track Programs, Leadership Readiness Programs, Technical Expert Pathways).
  • Collaborate with Learning & Development to align learning offerings (70-20-10 model) with identified development needs.
  • Support job rotation, stretch assignments, mentoring, and coaching frameworks to accelerate learning and readiness.


3. Succession Planning & Pipeline Management

  • Support the annual succession planning cycle by preparing talent insights, readiness charts, and development recommendations.
  • Maintain a healthy and diversified talent pipeline for critical and leadership roles within manufacturing, QA/QC, engineering, and supply chain.
  • Track progression and career movement of identified successors and high potentials, ensuring timely development actions.


4. Talent Analytics & Reporting

  • Generate periodic Talent Dashboards reflecting talent pool strength, readiness levels, and development progress.
  • Measure effectiveness of talent programs through KPIs (e.g., internal promotion rates, bench strength, talent retention).
  • Provide insights and recommendations to HR leadership on trends, risks, and opportunities in the talent pipeline.


5. Stakeholder Partnership & Communication

  • Partner with functional leaders to foster a talent culture and reinforce accountability for talent development.
  • Conduct talent review sessions, calibration meetings, and feedback discussions with managers and identified talents.
  • Communicate clearly with talents regarding assessment outcomes, feedback, and career development pathways.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology , or related field.
  • 1 - 3 years of experience in Talent Management, Organizational Development, or HR Business Partnering , preferably in a pharmaceutical or manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience in talent assessment methodologies , succession planning , and leadership development programs .
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in HR systems (SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle, or equivalent).
  • Certification in psychometric assessments (e.g., Hogan, SHL, MBTI, OPQ) is a plus.
