Tally Clerk

Job Summary:

• Records all the incoming or outgoing cargoes, updates all containers discharged from ICD to the main computer system.
• Maintenance of all counter related files.
• Carries out Yard inventories.

Responsibilities:

• Authenticate all documents produced at the counter prior to issuing the lift order/gate pass.
• Container seal should be checked and ensure intact on receipt and delivery.
• Check validity of the delivery order and ensure lift order or gate pass not issued if validity has expired.
• Ensure outstanding charges are collected prior to issuing a lift order.
• Accurate data entry for all transactions.
• Ensure empty containers are released on a strict “first in, first out” basis.
• Make sure proper authorization is received for debiting charges to shipping line/consignee.
• Ensure empty containers are not accepted after expiry of validity period.
• Maintains a record of health inspections and seals issued for various lines.
• Records all the incoming or outgoing cargoes, updates all containers discharged from ICD to the main computer system.
• Arranges containers for loading on trailer trucks.
• Checks all containers arriving / departing by road for damage / seal numbers.
• Assists in CFS work as required.
• Report all incidents to Supervisor and QHSE officer immediately.
• Performs other duties as required.

Requirements:

• Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 Years of experience
• Good Numeracy Skills
• Good attention to detail
• Good working knowledge of Computer and MS Office

Pay: From AED2,500.00 per month
