Job Summary

The Tax Officer will be responsible for managing all tax-related matters of the company, ensuring compliance with applicable federal and provincial tax laws, timely filing of returns, and coordination with tax authorities and auditors.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and file monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns, including:
• Income Tax
• Sales Tax / GST
• Withholding Tax
• Provincial Taxes, where applicable
• Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws, rules, and regulations.
• Maintain tax records, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
• Handle tax audits, notices, and correspondence with tax authorities.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants during audits.
• Assist management in tax planning to minimize tax liabilities.
• Review financial transactions and contracts for tax compliance.
• Stay updated with changes in tax laws, rules, and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare tax-related reports and summaries for management.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
• CA Inter / ACCA (Part Qualified) or equivalent will be preferred.
• Minimum 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in taxation, preferably in a corporate or manufacturing setup.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of Pakistan tax laws, including Income Tax, Sales Tax, and Withholding Tax.
• Hands-on experience with ERP or accounting systems (Odoo experience preferred).
• Excellent analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
