We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Tax Professional to join our team and drive excellence in tax compliance, planning, and consulting. <Duties>

  • Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, estates, and trusts with precision and efficiency.
  • Conduct comprehensive tax research on issues such as estate planning, securities law, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), and corporate accounting standards like GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
  • Assist clients with tax planning strategies including mergers & acquisitions, asset management, and private equity investments to maximize savings and compliance.
  • Perform detailed analysis of financial statements, including balance sheet reconciliation, general ledger accounting, and financial report interpretation to inform tax strategies.
  • Support regulatory reporting requirements and ensure adherence to SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls for publicly traded companies.
  • Utilize advanced accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and other financial tools for bookkeeping, account reconciliation, payroll processing, and financial statement preparation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on audits, internal controls, and compliance initiatives to uphold the highest standards of accuracy and integrity.
  • Provide guidance on wills, trusts & estate law matters related to estate planning and succession strategies for high-net-worth clients.

<Requirements>

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA certification preferred.
  • Proven experience in tax accounting with a strong background in tax experience across various sectors including public accounting or corporate finance.
  • Deep understanding of GAAP standards, financial concepts such as debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, and regulatory requirements like SOX.
  • Proficiency with accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero or similar tools; familiarity with financial software for analysis and reporting is essential.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data accurately.
  • Knowledge of specialized areas such as estate planning, securities law, non-profit accounting, and LIHTC is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills for preparing detailed financial report writing and presenting insights clearly to clients or internal teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining meticulous attention to detail. Pay: $30,069.00 - $150,039.00 per year
