About the Role:

Smart Education is seeking a highly skilled AI Education Content Specialist (Reviewer/Writer) to join our dynamic curriculum development team under the Robotics & ICT Department. This role is pivotal in shaping high-quality, AI-infused educational content aligned with national and international standards. The ideal candidate brings together a solid foundation in artificial intelligence, educational content creation, and pedagogical review, with the ability to translate complex AI topics into accessible, age-appropriate, and engaging learning materials. Familiarity with global frameworks such as AI4K12, the UNESCO AI Competency Framework, and other international education standards is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Content Development & Writing

· Design and write instructional content that introduces AI fundamentals (e.g., machine learning, deep learning, neural networks, natural language processing, computer vision, ethics in AI) across various age groups.

· Translate technical AI concepts into student-friendly language for K–12 and early tertiary learners, incorporating real-world applications and 21st-century skill development.

· Create lesson plans, student activities, discussion prompts, AI models, and formative/summative assessments aligned with learning objectives.

2. Technical Review/Editing & Quality Assurance

· Conduct rigorous reviews of AI-related educational content for accuracy, instructional soundness, and conceptual clarity.

· Validate AI modules and lesson flows against curriculum maps, ensuring cognitive progression and alignment with Bloom’s Taxonomy, computational thinking models, and digital competency frameworks.

· Perform QC checks across content formats (text, assessments, scripts, slide decks, AI models) to ensure consistency, age appropriateness, and educational value.

3. Curriculum & Standards Alignment

· Collaborate with curriculum designers and subject matter experts to integrate AI content into national (e.g., Ministry of Education) and international curricula.

· Ensure all deliverables meet instructional design standards and Smart Education’s quality benchmarks for digital content and smart education delivery.

4. AI Pedagogy & Application

· Serve as a knowledge advisor on AI literacy and responsible use of AI in education.

· Support the design of AI-powered tools (e.g., adaptive learning modules, chatbots, intelligent tutoring systems) by providing domain input and user-centered feedback.

· Contribute to research-based development of student-centered AI learning pathways and digital transformation initiatives in classrooms.

5*. Collaboration & Communication*

· Participate in cross-functional team meetings with curriculum teams, developers, graphic designers, and project managers to align content goals and timelines.

· Provide expert feedback during product walkthroughs, pilots, and review cycles.

· Assist in teacher training and support documentation related to AI content and tools when needed.

Required Qualifications:

1. Education

· Bachelor’s or master's degree in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Educational Technology, Data Science, or a related field.

· Additional certifications in instructional design, curriculum development, or AI in education are advantageous.

2. Work Experience

· Minimum 3–5 years of experience in AI research, content development, or instructional design with a focus on emerging technologies in education.

· Proven experience developing or reviewing AI-related educational material for students or educators.

· Strong understanding of the K–12 education landscape in the UAE or MENA region is a plus.

3. Technical Skills

· Proficient in AI domains such as machine learning, deep learning, data structures, NLP, computer vision, generative AI, modern AI models, and ethical AI.

· Familiarity with prompt engineering strategies and LLM tools.

· Proficiency in Python for AI development, data analysis, and machine learning applications.

· Familiarity with JavaScript, particularly in educational AI tools and browser-based environments.

· Working knowledge of machine learning libraries and frameworks, including TensorFlow and Keras.

· Hands-on experience with educational AI tools such as Teachable Machine, Scratch, Machine Learning for Kids, and MIT App Inventor AI extensions.

· Comfortably using educational authoring tools (e.g., Articulate, H5P), LMS platforms (Moodle, Google Classroom), and collaborative editing software (Google Docs, MS Teams).

4. Soft Skills
