Technical Data Analyst

Ibex, for one of its global clients, is hiring a Data Analyst to join the Data Analytics team . This role is ideal for someone passionate about building robust data solutions from the ground up. You will play a critical role in querying, transforming, and analyzing complex datasets, while contributing to the design of scalable data models and automation of key reporting processes. Your insights will directly drive operational efficiency, cost optimization, and strategic decision-making across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Write clean, efficient, and production-quality SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyse large datasets, applying advanced techniques such as joins, window functions, and CTEs.
• Develop and maintain Python scripts to automate manual processes, clean and validate data, and perform advanced statistical analysis using libraries such as Pandas and NumPy .
• Design, build, and maintain scalable data models using dbt , ensuring datasets are reliable, well-documented, and ready for analytics and business intelligence.
• Implement robust data quality checks and validation scripts within data pipelines to ensure accuracy, consistency, and governance of business-critical metrics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications for data pipelines, reports, and analytical solutions.
• Deliver insightful analysis and communicate findings clearly to senior leadership and non-technical stakeholders, enabling data-driven decision-making.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science , Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• Advanced SQL expertise , with the ability to write complex, performant queries and optimize for large-scale data operations.
• Proficiency in Python , with experience automating workflows and analysing data.
• Hands-on experience with dbt for managing data transformation workflows and scalable models.
• Proven experience with Tableau (designing dashboards, reports, and visual analytics).
• Experience with other BI/visualisation tools such as Power BI is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills , with a keen eye for detail and data accuracy.
• Experience with BI/visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau) and foundational knowledge of statistical modelling or machine learning concepts is a plus.
