As a Technical Officer, His/her Responsibilities Are To

To verify conformity documents of the files allocated and being processed as per the applicable standards, related CBCA-VoC procedures and country regulations.

Checking of inspection reports for the files allocated and being processed, mainly for CBCA-VoC Technical aspects & report inspector’s performance with regards to quality and accuracy.

Acquisition and maintenance of a good knowledge of the CBCA-VoC market.

Coordination between the Inspection Activities and Technical activities.

Guide Sales Offices on CBCA-VoC Technical concerns & relevant requirements, as and when required.
-
Share good practices/execute good co-ordination (as applicable) between BV technical services and the Sales Offices.

Continuous acquisition and maintenance of technical knowledge of the CBCA[1]VOC procedures, requirements and standards.

To consult BV’s internal knowledge management tool for update of CBCA-VOC procedures/relevant information
Qualifications
Higher education Certificate (With Science) or degree level in Engineering or standards background.

Excellent PC skills.

English proficiency, Communication skills.

Satisfactory knowledge of Export / Import procedures, Cargo Inspection procedure.

Knowledge of types of discrepancies (detected during document review, inspection and/or testing).

Satisfactory knowledge about product conformity assessment procedures or at least BV VOC procedures.

Satisfactory knowledge about applicable accreditation standard requirements (ISO 17020, …).

Knowledge of standards according to which certifications are granted.

Technical knowledge of products for which certifications are granted.
