Technical Program Manager (TPM)

Job Summary:We are looking for a Technical Program Manager (TPM) to drive cross-functional execution across multiple products in active development. The ideal candidate will work closely with Product Managers, Tech Leads, QA, UI/UX, and Engineering teams to ensure projects run smoothly, deadlines are predictable, dependencies are unblocked, and delivery quality is consistently high. This person will serve as the central coordination point in the technology organization — balancing communication, execution, planning, and technical understanding.

Key Responsibilities:1.
Program & Project Execution

• Manage and oversee 6–7 product development tracks simultaneously
• Ensure day-to-day visibility on tasks, dependencies, milestones, and blockers
• Run daily/weekly scrum ceremonies, planning sessions, standups, and retros where needed
• Maintain accurate and updated delivery timelines, burn-down charts, and risk logs
• Identify bottlenecks early and ensure problems are escalated or resolved proactively
• Coordinate cross-team dependencies (e.g., backend ↔ frontend, UI/UX ↔ dev, QA ↔ dev).

Stakeholder Management

• Act as the bridge between Product Managers and Tech Leads.
• Translate product requirements into clear technical tasks and milestones
• Ensure engineering teams understand priorities and PMs understand constraints
• Manage communication style across different personalities (soft, aggressive, senior, junior).

Technical Understanding (MERN + Python)

• The candidate must have strong technical awareness to effectively work with engineering, DevOps, data science, and product teams. This includes:
• Solid understanding of the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express, React.js, Node.js) including API development, microservices, frontend/backend interaction, environment configurations, caching, and integration workflows.
• Good grasp of Python development, especially related to data pipelines, scripting, automation, or ML model integration with backend systems.
• Working knowledge of cloud platforms, preferably AWS including: EC2, Lambda, S3, CloudFront, RDS / DocumentDB / DynamoDB, API Gateway, Load Balancers, CloudWatch logs/metrics and monitoring, CI/CD using CodePipeline / CodeBuild or GitHub Actions
• Ability to understand and challenge system architecture, high-level designs, and technical decisions.
• Understanding of DevOps fundamentals: Docker, containerization, version control workflows, deployment environments, and rollback strategies.
• Ability to read and interpret API docs, Postman collections, DB schemas, ERDs, and architectural diagrams.
• Comfortable participating in architecture discussions, identifying risks, and communicating technical implications to stakeholders.

Process Improvement

• Build refine, and enforce project execution frameworks (Jira, Notion, Confluence, Slack workflows).
• Develop SOPs for requirement management, sprint cycles, QA processes, and release management.
• Continuously identify process gaps and introduce solutions to improve cycle time.
• Standardize communication and reporting across all product teams.

Reporting & Visibility

• Create dashboards and reports for the Head of Tech (and leadership) including: Sprint performance, Release readiness,Risks & blockers.Delivery forecasts
• Ensure transparency of status across all teams without micromanaging

Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of MERN stack (Node.js, React.js, MongoDB) concepts.
• Understanding of Python fundamentals, especially in data pipelines or ML model integration.
• Comfortable reading API documentation, system architecture diagrams, and Git workflows.
• Ability to challenge technical decisions when needed.

Project & Program Management Skills

• 3–6 years of experience in TPM/PMO, Engineering Management, or Senior Project Management roles.
• Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong ability to manage multiple parallel workstreams.
• Exceptional skills in task breakdown, prioritization, and process enforcement.
• Experience leading teams of 40–60 engineers (bonus).

Soft Skills

• Excellent communicator — comfortable dealing with diverse personalities.
• Strong negotiation and conflict-resolution skills.
• High ownership, leadership presence, and ability to operate independently.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage chaos constructively.
• Analytical and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-Have

• Prior experience in a MERN-based product company.
• Experience with project management tools (Jira, Linear, ClickUp, Asana).
• Understanding of DevOps workflows (CI/CD, branches, environments).
• Experience working with cross-functional design teams (UI/UX).
• Exposure to data science pipelines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to Rs400,000.00 per month
