Location: Hybrid – D12 Shah Allah Ditta, Islamabad (3 days in-office: Tue–Thu, 2 days WFH: Mon & Fri)

Digital Engage is a results-driven digital marketing agency focused on building impactful web experiences and delivering measurable business growth. We’re expanding our internal web development team and seeking a Technical Project Manager (Tech PM) to oversee web-based projects, ensure technical accuracy, and streamline communication between our development, design, and client-facing teams.

Role Overview

As the Internal Technical Project Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing all technical aspects of web development projects—from planning and execution to delivery and maintenance.

You’ll serve as the internal backbone of the project process, ensuring that sites and systems meet technical standards, timelines, and business goals.

This role allows our client communication leads to focus on relationships while you handle the technical oversight, system reviews, and coordination required to deliver high-quality websites and applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all phases of web development projects (planning, execution, testing, and delivery).
• Translate project requirements into actionable technical tasks for the development team.
• Perform technical reviews of websites, systems, and integrations to ensure quality and functionality.
• Collaborate closely with designers, developers, and client communication managers to ensure alignment.
• Identify project risks, dependencies, and blockers—and proactively resolve them.
• Maintain organized project documentation, timelines, and progress reports.
• Ensure that technical standards, SEO best practices, and responsive design principles are met.
• Contribute to process improvement for better efficiency and cross-team communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2+ years of experience managing web development or software projects (agency experience preferred).
• Strong understanding of WordPress, Shopify, Squarespace, Wix or similar CMS platforms.
• Solid grasp of front-end and back-end web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, APIs, hosting environments).
• Experience with project management tools like Asana and Slack.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to technical detail.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills across technical and non-technical teams.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Nice to Have

• Basic knowledge of SEO and website performance optimization.
• Experience with QA testing or web audits.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
