Technical Project Manager

This role requires a versatile leader to manage software development projects from inception to completion, ensuring they align with both business objectives and technical requirements. The position will be responsible for coordinating with development teams and stakeholders, while also overseeing all aspects of database management, including design, performance, security, and integrity.

Key responsibilities

Project Management:

• Plan, execute, and deliver software projects on time and within budget.
• Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budgets.
• Use project management tools to track progress and report on status.
• Facilitate communication between the development team, clients, and other stakeholders.
• Implement and manage project management methodologies like Agile or Scrum.
• Perform risk management and develop mitigation strategies.

Database Management:

• Design, model, and implement logical and physical database structures.
• Install and configure database management systems (DBMS).
• Monitor database performance and implement optimizations.
• Ensure database security, integrity, and perform regular backups and recovery.
• Write and maintain database documentation.

Team and Stakeholder Leadership:

• Assemble and lead multidisciplinary project teams.
• Assign roles, delegate tasks, and foster a collaborative environment.
• Act as the primary point of contact and manage client expectations.
• Provide transparent updates to management and stakeholders.

Required skills and qualifications:

• Proven experience in software project management and database administration or development.
• Strong technical knowledge of software development lifecycles and database systems, including SQL and various DBMS (e.g., RDBMS, OODBMS).
• Proficiency with project management tools and methodologies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or Software Engineering.
• Proven experience in software project management and database administration or development.
