Technical Sales Engineer – Corporate Farming

Qualification :

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering, Agribusiness, Agronomy, Agri-Tech, or Mechanical Engineering for farm machinery roles
  • MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is considered an asset

Preferred Certifications:

  • Industry-recognized Agricultural Certifications
  • Certified Sales Professional CSP or equivalent Technical Sales Accreditation
  • Health, Safety, and Environment HSE Certification
  • Project Management Certification e.g., PMP, PRINCE2

Experience :

3–5 years of demonstrated experience in technical sales, sales engineering, or business development, preferably within the industrial, agricultural, or agri-tech equipment sectors.

Job Description :

  • Solid knowledge of advanced agricultural systems, including precision farming, irrigation technologies, and mechanized cultivation and harvesting solutions
  • Strong understanding of agronomy fundamentals such as crop cycles, soil management, fertilizers, seeds, and agrochemicals
  • Familiarity with smart agriculture solutions, IoT-based farm management, and drone-enabled monitoring is highly desirable
  • Experience in preparing technical proposals, responding to RFQs, and managing tender documentation
  • Proficiency in interpreting technical materials, including engineering drawings, equipment specifications, and regulatory manuals
  • Capability to assess client needs and deliver customized technical and commercial solutions
  • Effective time management, leadership, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Expertise in sales strategy, lead generation, and customer acquisition
  • Proven track record in expanding market presence, securing major contracts, and cultivating long-term client partnerships
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with confident and engaging presentation skills
