Technical Site Engineer

We are looking for a skilled Site Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for deploying, managing, and maintaining systems and applications at customer or internal sites. A strong foundation in Linux administration and Docker containerization is essential. Additional experience in networking and Python scripting is a strong plus.

• Key Responsibilities:
• Install, configure, and maintain systems running on Linux.
• Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot applications using Docker.
• Support site operations and ensure systems run efficiently with minimal downtime.
• Collaborate with the networking team to resolve connectivity or configuration issues.
• Develop automation scripts and tools (preferably in Python) to improve system reliability and efficiency.
• Provide technical support, diagnose issues, and apply fixes in a timely manner.
• Document procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
• Ensure systems follow security best practices and compliance requirements.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Site Engineer, Systems Engineer, or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Linux administration (Ubuntu, CentOS, or similar).
• Hands-on experience with Docker (containers, images, volumes, networking).
• Familiarity with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls).
• Basic to intermediate Python programming for scripting and automation.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in dynamic environments.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
