Tele sales associate

Job summary

We are seeking a results-driven and enthusiastic Telesales Representative to join our sales team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for making outbound and taking inbound calls to inform customers about our products or services, closing sales, and maintaining customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Customer outreach: Initiate and conduct sales calls with prospective and existing customers to promote products and services.
• Sales process: Utilize a prepared script while also thinking creatively to engage customers, understand their needs, and close sales.
• Information management: Gather and accurately document customer information, purchases, and reactions in a database or CRM software.
• Product knowledge: Stay up-to-date on all products and services to answer customer questions and provide comprehensive information.
• Customer support: Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and patient manner to preserve the company's reputation.
• Reporting: Track daily call and sales activities and report on progress toward meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
• Lead generation: Direct qualified sales leads to the field sales team when necessary.
• Relationship building: Develop and maintain positive, long-lasting customer relationships to encourage repeat business.

Requirements and skills

• Proven experience: Prior experience as a tele sales representative or in another sales/customer service role is preferred.
• Communication skills: Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain a clear and confident phone manner.
• Sales ability: Strong negotiation and persuasive selling skills.
• Resilience: A cool-tempered attitude and the ability to handle rejection and stress effectively.
• Technical proficiency: Working knowledge of relevant computer software, including CRM software and telephone systems.
• Organizational skills: Good time management and the ability to work independently.
• Problem-solving: Ability to address customer issues and concerns effectively.
• Education: A high school diploma is typically required; a degree in a relevant field may be a plus
