Job Title: Textile Fashion Designer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Textile Fashion Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will design innovative textile patterns, prints, and fabrics, and integrate them into fashion collections. The role requires strong knowledge of fabric types, color theory, weaving/printing techniques, and current fashion trends.

Key Responsibilities:

Research upcoming fashion and textile trends, colors, and fabrics.

Develop original designs for fabrics, prints, and textures suitable for clothing and accessories.

Create sketches, mood boards, and CAD designs to present concepts.

Work closely with the fashion design team to align fabric choices with seasonal collections.

Select fabrics, trims, and surface embellishments based on quality and cost.

Coordinate with suppliers, mills, and printers for sample development and bulk production.

Test fabrics for durability, colorfastness, and suitability for end-use.

Ensure designs are commercially viable and meet market demands.

Stay updated with sustainable fabric innovations and eco-friendly design practices.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, or related field.

Proven experience as a textile/fashion designer (portfolio required).

Proficiency in design software (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CAD tools).

Strong knowledge of fabric construction, printing, and dyeing techniques.

Excellent sense of color, texture, and detail.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects.
